Mumma Review

Enjoyed a lazy Sunday brunch at The Aproneers in Lindisfarne this morning with a girlfriend and her gorgeous doggie Charlie :)  It was a terrific chance for me to unwind and enjoy a civilized catch-up whilst the Grand Master stayed at home with his Dad 'dig, dig, digging'!  So this isn't really the typical Mumma Needs Coffee review.....instead just a quick post to say the brunch was simply divine and super delicious!

Eggs Benedict for me (or Eggs Benny as per The Aproneers......perfectly poached eggs sourced locally, Aproneers leg ham, sourdough bread and juicy cherry tomatoes with a rocket and almond-type pesto) and house-made beans for Al (yes both have the same name and the beans looked aammmaazzzing!), and of course Al's doggie enjoyed a few small morsels under the table, a doggie water bowl as well as a secure place for him to be tied up next to us, perfect!

Have you been to the Aproneers with your little ones....? Let us know your thoughts?  Will definitely be going back to suss it out with the Great Man in tow (plus I want to try the 'sweet heart' - Aproneers brioche french toast dusted with cinnamon sugar, saffron spiced stone fruit compote & mountain river natural yoghurt......mmmm my mouth is watering already!).

Love Mumma Al x

ps And the coffee is from Cafe Villeno Hobart.  Say no more

  1. the coffee is easily the best on the Eastern Shore, well worth travelling over the great divide!

    1. Wow big call there! Where else is good for coffee 'across the river'.....have always found it a bit hit and miss?! But the Aproneers certainly delivered today :) Al x

  2. Little mr 5 and I had lunch at the Aproneers,or Apron Ears as he calls it last week,I had a coffee and a caesar salad,mr 5 a pork sausage roll followed by a cakepop!!! Food and coffee was great, service fast and friendly....

    1. Hi Janine great to hear you had a lovely lunch recently at 'Apron Ears' :) I have eyed off the sausage rolls before, they certainly look tasty! Can't say I have eaten a cakepop however, what was that like?

      Cheers Al x

  3. I cant tell you what the cakepop tasted like as it was gone in record time!!! I can only guess it was wonderful!!!! I did get to try the sausage roll and that was yummy.....

    1. Mmmmm I love a good sausage roll, will have to head back there and taste test one :)

We would love to hear your thoughts :) Love Mumma Al & Mumma Kel xx
