Mumma Review
After visiting the Callington Flour Mill and enjoying a nice stroll along the High Street of Oatlands, hubby, bub and I stopped in at the Companion Bakery for some lunch. The bakery itself was pretty small with a limited number of seating (about 4 tables which seated 2-5 people) and had it been full we would have struggled to get our pram in. Luckily for us it was pretty quiet so we were able to get a table with room to park the pram.
Service was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed a super tasty ‘Cottage Pot Pie’ but was on the small side (we did order a small however). The staff were accommodating when asked for some boiled water in a cup to heat our bub’s lunch up in (good old ‘Rafferty’s’ on the go baby food). In between feeding bub and trying to eat my own lunch I did catch a glimpse of the baker with his artisan dough.
Nice stop to enjoy a light bite but all in all pretty small if you had kids on the go (but there is always the take-away option – except for the pot pies which were in a ceramic/non-take away pot).
