Mumma review

Bubba and I headed to T42 on the waterfront in Hobart for breakfast on Sunday morning with my parents.  We sat inside as the breeze was a bit cool for outdoor dining.  There is plenty of room to park a pram in both the indoor and outdoor eating areas, and highchairs are available.  There are a few couched areas and booths also.

There is no specific kids menu, so bub grazed his way through everyone else's meal, which suited him just fine!  We all enjoyed ours too, scrambled eggs and crispy bacon for me and dad, and a potato and rosemary rosti for mum.  I always love the food here.

Good coffee according to the pares, but I opted for a healthy smoothy, which unfortunately was bottled, not fresh.

T42 seems to be a popular spot during the day for Hobartians with littlies.  Most tables had children of various ages from tiny babies to older kids, but this might have had something to do with the fact that Mathilda's Market was on next door.  You could fit a mums group in quite comfortably, but it's a popular spot so it would be worth booking for a large group.

There are no activities to keep kids amused indoors; when asked if they had kids activities the waitress replied "sometimes we have crayons...."  She never returned with said crayons so I'm guessing this wasn't one of those times.

Watching the boats in Hobarts working port through the window or from the outdoor area is a good pastime, however the edge of the wharf isn't fenced so it's not a great area for playing.

T42 becomes a popular drinking spot in the evenings, but during the day I think the relaxed atmosphere, open layout, and spaciousness of the place is what makes it a hit with parents.
That and the good food.
