Happy Australia Day

Happy Australia Day!  We spent part of the morning at Kingston Beach, which was fun despite the weather doing its best to drive us away.  Blustery wind and sand don’t go well together in my opinion!  Such a pity, but that’s Tassie weather for you!  

We did manage a quick game of cricket (bubba’s biggest obsession at the moment) with friends before heading home.  But, unfortunately we didn’t really get to partake in all that the Kingston Beach regatta had to offer.  Maybe next year. Have you been before?

Heading home early did give me a chance to have a good ol nanna nap while bubba had his midday sleep, then off to a friends house for a barbie and to listen to the hottest 100.  

All this activity wore the whole family out, and the active nature of an almost 2 year old may have been starting to wear out our friends too, so in the interest of preserving friendships we scuttled off home!  A fun but exhausting day!
